wordpress 2.?

i have to admit something – not only am i neglectful in my blogging, but i am also neglectful to my actual blog itself. i logged on to wordpress today to notice that wordpress 2.2 has been released and is in the process of being upgraded based on user bug reports. this is sad. do you want to know why this is sad? of course you do. this is sad because i havent even gotten to wordpress 2.0 yet. i tried to upgrade, but ended up deleting the whole blog in the process, and so i had to revert back (thank god for backups). really, id like to step out of the blogging stone age, but i just havent had the time to deal with the problems associated with wordpress upgrades. does anyone out there have any recommendations on how to do this quickly and without taking too many years off my life?

i intend to start this upgrade tonight, so any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

NY Pride 2007

get on board the Big Gay Bus!

A couple of weekends ago, I took my annual trip up to NY for NY Pride. It was a blast, as expected. J and I had fun even when we were drugged, kidnapped and forced to drive around in a car for 5 hours on Saturday while tweedledee and tweedledum attempted to locate Coney Island. Id like to add that both tweedledee (yes, you bunny) and tweedledum (yes d, you have to be tweedledum, you were the one with the directions) have both lived approx 30 to 45 mins away from Coney Island their entire lives. But its location is apparently a mystery because it took us 3 hours, 3 interstates, several missed exits and detours, and a few (oh, is THAT what that highway is called!)’s to get there. i love them both, but never let bunny or d navigate.

Needless to say, we missed the Mermaid parade on Saturday. But we did not miss the big event, the gay pride parade, on Sunday. It was awesome, as always. The costumes, the drag queens, the music…all a ton of fun. And I have pictures to prove it. (you need a snapfish account to view, dont worry, its free).

And…that was June.

Where the heck did June go? I cant believe my summer is half gone already….
