i could list a ton of excuses as to why i have basically fallen off the face of the blogosphere recently. these include but are not limited to: ive been busy working on the new house; i didnt have internet at home for a good two weeks; ive been plugging away at 2 very big and annoyingly overdramatic projects at work for a good long while now; i also have been slowly but surely working on the website for textur; my search for roommates occupied every moment i had left when i did have internet access; and ive been so worn out that all i could really manage to say on here would have been “ugh.” but probably without the period at the end, because im awful at punctuation.
the excuses are all accurate and truthful, but they fail to address the number one issue at hand here: im tragically lazy. and i have a tendency to fall into lazy slumps sometimes that really seem to scramble my ability to write coherent thoughts. this past month has been nothing but a slump. a lot has to do with the move and the money (i dont have) and the roommates (i had a hard time finding because im gay and i own a cat, two things most people hate), but some of it has to do with stress over other things. the problem is, im not really sure how to dig myself back out of it. last time i fell into a slump like this, i called it “college”, and i accepted that the only solution was alcoholism. i cant really do that this time as that might impair my ability to drive to work. i have no doubt i could easily do my job while under the influence, but im not so sure i could get to work driving through the city during rush-hour.
at any rate – June is gay pride month. last weekend i went to the Cyndi Lauper True Colors Tour with J and someone we will now refer to as Tucker. we had a blast. it was an awesome concert and i was surrounded by awesome company and the gayness abounded. then monday, i went to a latin dance class for lesbians. how hot is that? and then this weekend im off to NY for NY Pride. last year’s NY Pride was a blast and this year promises to be just as awesome if not more as i have taken monday off from work just so i could enjoy sunday as much as saturday. i hope to come back with enough pictures to make up for the holes in my memory.
